Naïve TG and satellite glial cells (SGCs):

  • 하나 이상의 nucleus (N)가 satellite glial cells의 cytosol에서 발견됨
  • rER, mitochondria 등은 nucleus 근처에 밀집되어 있음.  
  • 2.가는 cisternae 구조가 TG soma를감싸고있음 (NMJ와 유사한 형태).
  • 1.TG soma에서 spine-like process가 SGCs로 침투함(Vmes soma의 spine과 유사함); 반대로 SGCs에서도 TG soma로 침투함  
  • Matrix 부분이 경계를 구분하는 기준이되나 가끔 연결여부가 불명확한 경우도 있음.

 

TG and SGCs after IAN nerve transection:
  • 1.SGCs 자체의 volume 등에서는 큰차이를 보이지 않음.
  • 2.다만, SGCs내의 cisternae structure가 가늘고 일정하지 않고 두께 등에서 naïve SGCs 보다 무질서해진 느낌.
  • 3.matrix의 structure 상에서는 특이한 tubular structure가두드러지게보임 (degenerated?).
  • 4.TG soma에서 spine이여전히 SGCs내로 침투하며, naïve와의 차이는 모르겠음.
  • 1.TG axons를 SGCs가 감싸고있으며, naïve TG에서는 axon을 확인못해 비교는 못함.
